Charming pasque flower, producing finely cut, semi-double blooms in a range of purples, reds, pinks, and whites. Each plant offers something a little different, making it ideal for adding variety and informal charm to spring displays.
The silky, nodding flowers appear above ferny, silvery-green foliage in early spring, followed by attractive fluffy seedheads that continue the show into summer. Compact, hardy and long-lived, 'Papageno' is well suited to sunny rockeries, gravel gardens or the front of a well-drained border.
Thrives in alkaline or neutral soil and copes well with dry conditions once established.
