Paeonia 'Late Windflower'

£18.00
sold out

One of the very few peonies that are best in partial shade. This is a P. emodi hybrid raised by Professor Saunders. 'Late Windflower' is a natural-looking plant with simple, understated elegance. The nodding single white flowers are like those of a Japanese anemone and relatively modest by the standards of the big, blowsy doubles. Attractive, deeply cut foliage.

  • Height: 80cm

  • Early season flowering (1 week after ‘Early Windflower’)

Gardens Illustrated 2019 Badge

One of Gardens Illustrated's 100 best plant nurseries in the UK: "Billy Carruthers is mad about peonies and has over 300 varieties on the nursery. In recent years he's exhibited them at the Chelsea Flower Show. However, they're just the tip of the iceberg for this nursery, midway between Glasgow and Edinburgh, Central Scotland"
