Aster amellus 'King George'
A dependable, mid-height aster with large violet-blue flowers and golden centres, blooming from late summer well into autumn. The bushy, clump-forming habit makes it ideal for the front or middle of a border, where it brings reliable late-season colour.
Unlike some asters, 'King George' prefers well-drained soil and doesn’t mind drier conditions. It has good resistance to mildew and is popular with bees and butterflies.
