Mukdenia rossii 'Karasuba'

£11.50

A striking woodland perennial, Mukdenia ‘Karasuba’ brings interest from the very start of the season. In early spring, clusters of pink buds push up before the foliage, opening into delicate sprays of creamy-white, star-shaped flowers.

These are followed by glossy, maple-like leaves that emerge with rich bronze-red tones before gradually greening, often retaining darker markings, then turning vivid red again in autumn. Slow to spread but reliable, it is well suited to dappled shade, where it will gently form groundcover over time.

Sold currently in 2-litre pots.

Height: 30–40 cm
Position: Partial shade to light shade
Soil: Moist, humus-rich, well-drained
Flowering Time: March–April
