Salvia Cerro Potosi
A vibrant and long-flowering perennial, prized for its vivid magenta-pink blooms and compact, upright habit. From early summer through to the first frosts, it produces a profusion of tubular flowers held on dark stems above aromatic green foliage, providing continuous colour and attracting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
Originally collected from the slopes of Cerro Potosí in Mexico, this salvia brings an exotic flair to borders and containers while remaining surprisingly tough. It performs best in full sun and well-drained soil, with good drought tolerance once established. Cutting it back lightly during the season can encourage bushier growth and even more flowers.
A superb choice for late-summer impact, pairing well with grasses, rudbeckias, and other sun-loving perennials.
Sold currently in 9cm pots.
Height & Spread: 60–80cm x 40–50cm
Position: Full sun
Soil: Well-drained, moderately fertile soil
Flowering Time: June to October
