A stunning and unusual deciduous shrub, Calycanthus 'Venus' produces large, magnolia-like creamy white flowers with a central blush of purple and yellow, blooming freely from late spring into summer. The lightly fragrant blooms are a real talking point, standing out beautifully against the glossy green foliage.

Rounded and bushy in habit, it makes an excellent specimen shrub or a feature in mixed borders. Thrives in sun or light shade and is tolerant of a range of soil types, provided they are well-drained.

Sold currently in 4-litre pots

Soil: Moist but well-drained; adaptable
