Uvularia grandiflora var. pallida

£8.50

'Pallida' offers a softer take on the traditional Large-Flowered Bellwort. Its gracefully arching stems produce nodding, pale yellow flowers that appear almost translucent in dappled shade, giving a light, ethereal quality to spring borders. The slender, twisted petals add an understated elegance, complementing its fresh green foliage, which remains attractive throughout the growing season.

An excellent choice for softening shaded garden spaces with its delicate pastel tones. It naturalises well in woodland conditions, gradually forming graceful clumps.

Sold currently in 1-litre pots

Height & Spread: Grows to around 30-50cm in height with a similar spread.

Soil: Prefers rich, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter.

Position: Thrives in partial to full shade; ideal for woodland gardens, shaded borders, and naturalistic plantings.

Flowering Time: Mid to late spring (April to May).

Telegraph Top 20 Mail-Order Plant Nurseries

One of the Daily Telegraph’s Top 20 mail-order nurseries. The largest list of peonies in Scotland, ranging from herbaceous peonies, Itoh or intersectional peonies and tree peonies.

Gardens Illustrated 2019 Badge

One of Gardens Illustrated's 100 best plant nurseries in the UK: "Billy Carruthers is mad about peonies and has over 300 varieties on the nursery. In recent years he's exhibited them at the Chelsea Flower Show. However, they're just the tip of the iceberg for this nursery, midway between Glasgow and Edinburgh, Central Scotland"
